Terms of Service

Effective Date: January 1, 2026 • Last updated: August 2026

1 Agreement & Scope

Welcome to RideLink Nigeria ("RideLink", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of our mobile-friendly web application, platform, and technology services connecting passengers seeking mobility with independent transport operators in Nigeria (starting across Benue State and nationwide).

By creating an account, registering as a driver or passenger, or booking a ride through RideLink, you agree to be legally bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2 Nature of the RideLink Service

RideLink is a digital technology platform that facilitates connections between passengers and third-party transport providers (drivers of cars, kekes, and affiliated fleets). RideLink does not provide direct transportation services and is not a common carrier. All rides are contracted directly between the driver and passenger.

3 User Accounts & Eligibility

  • Age: You must be at least 18 years of age to register for an account in Nigeria.
  • Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current registration and identity verification information.
  • Security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that take place under your account.

4 Driver Obligations & Vehicle Standards

Drivers operating on the RideLink network agree to the following:

  • Maintain a valid Nigerian Driver’s License, vehicle registration, roadworthiness certificate, and valid insurance coverage.
  • Operate only vehicles that are clean, roadworthy, and compliant with state and federal safety regulations.
  • Maintain a minimum required wallet balance to receive trip dispatches and honor platform commission deductions.
  • Refrain from charging rates beyond those computed and displayed by the RideLink platform.

5 Fares, Payments, and Cancellations

  • Currency: All trip calculations and payments are processed in Nigerian Naira (₦ / NGN).
  • Payment Methods: Payments may be made via in-app wallet balance, electronic card gateway (Paystack), or direct cash settlement at the end of the trip.
  • Cancellations: Passengers may cancel a ride request. However, recurring cancellations after a driver has arrived at the pickup location may incur a standard cancellation fee.

6 Safety & Prohibited Conduct

To ensure a safe environment across our community, the following actions are strictly prohibited:

  • Harassment, violence, abusive language, or discrimination against any user or driver.
  • Carrying hazardous materials, contraband, or illegal substances in any vehicle.
  • Fraudulent misuse of platform promotions, ride matching, or payment systems.

The in-app SOS Emergency Button connects users directly to regional dispatch and emergency services. False alarms or repeated misuse may lead to immediate account suspension.

7 Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the platform shall first be submitted to mutual amicable mediation prior to any legal proceedings.
